Jatropha Project MOU Follow-Up Meeting with MAAIF and Light for Africa Foundation

A follow-up meeting on the Jatropha Project Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was held with the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries (MAAIF) team led by Commissioner for Development, Eng. Okanya Bonface (2nd from left). The meeting was attended by representatives from the Light for Africa Foundation, led by Mr. Julius Zellah from Poland.

The discussions focused on key steps toward implementing the Jatropha initiative aimed at promoting sustainable agriculture, biofuel development, and rural economic empowerment. Both teams expressed strong commitment to collaborative action, aligning efforts to ensure that the project delivers long-term benefits to communities and supports Uganda’s green energy agenda.

The meeting reaffirmed the shared vision and the importance of continued stakeholder engagement, technical support, and capacity-building to make the Jatropha project a success.
